Frommer's Review
Heaven will be a letdown after this. Imagine hallway vending machines dispensing champagne and espresso makers providing complimentary café on every floor. This converted Victorian warehouse, located, between the financial district and the West End also features seven rooftop studios with patios and panoramic views of the London skyline and a sky-lit atrium flooding the building's core with natural light. Many of the features and "scars" of the original structure were retained, as tradition was blended with chic, urban modern design. The small-to-midsize, elegantly furnished guest rooms are located over the five upper floors of the property, off balconies circling the atrium. Unplastered brick walls reach up to "floating" ceilings and customized wallpaper panels. Secondhand furnishings are set beside classic modern pieces. The designers certainly achieved their stated goal of "a great bed, a great shower, and state-of-the-art in-room technology." Bathrooms live up to their reputation as a "sensory experience," with "Raindance" shower and natural health toiletries. Consider the Zetter restaurant even if you don't stay here. The fashionistas of London flock here for both traditional and modern interpretations of Italian regional cuisine.
