We haven’t been everywhere, but we’re pretty sure there’s nothing like the Music Box Village anywhere else. It’s an enchanted collection of artisan-fabricated structures. Each is at once an edifice, an artwork, and a musical instrument—the love child of Burning Man and the London Philharmonic, born and being raised in Bywater. A performance in, on, and around these magical musical houses is a mesmerizing experience that should not be missed. Dress for outdoor conditions; seating is rustic, so come early to snag a bench or a hay bale, or bring a folding chair or blanket. If there are no performances while you’re in town, try to check it out during public hours.
