Frommer's Review
Few college towns are without at least one low-cost vegetarian restaurant, and this one has ruled in New Haven since 1975. Options include curried couscous, eggplant rollatini, six veggie burgers, five flatbread pizzas, and a number of Mexican entrees, including a variety of quesadillas. Fish-eaters will enjoy the tuna salad and open-faced albacore melt sandwiches on offer. Breakfast brings a bounty of plump scones and massive muffins. Place your order at the counter after perusing the very long blackboard menu, pay the cashier, and claim a table. Presently, someone emerges from the kitchen and shouts your name.
