Maybe you didn’t come to Honolulu to hang out in an Irish bar. But if you did, Murphy’s is the place to be. At lunch, it’s packed with downtown businessmen tucking into Blarney Burgers (a hamburger with Guinness cheese) or open-face turkey sandwiches. After work, this is one of Honolulu’s favorite pau hana (after-work) spots with great wings, local beers on draft (get anything from Maui Brewing Co.), and some of the friendliest bartenders in town. You would expect nothing less from an Irish bar.
