Two-Michelin-starred Maaemo is fabulously sleek, all subdued lighting and formal service. It is renowned for its organic and foraged Norwegian ingredients and imaginative molecular gastronomy, offering a multi-course (28!) set menu harboring such delights as reindeer-heart porridge and pine-glazed langoustines. An expensive treat to book well in advance, and be sure to dress up in your glad rags. Once there, you should expect to settle in for the night. Food this good simply will not be hurried. Reservations required.
