Though this small hotel occupies a three-story brick building dating back to the turn of the 20th century, nothing remains of the past except for the facade—and the style of the rooms. Some have wrought-iron balconies and/or whirlpool tubs; others have high ceilings and clawfoot bathtubs. The friendly staff is old-style hospitable too. The hotel works for both business and leisure travelers; it’s in a quiet section of downtown near the convention center, not far from the River Walk and the King William district.
