This 1941 motor-court-style motel has been completely renovated and turned into a collection of cozy, charming, cottagelike studios that offer economical accommodation in a quiet Gearhart neighborhood about 3 blocks from the beach. The two wood-frame buildings, painted white and facing one another across a gravel drive, have trees and pocket gardens in front of each unit, giving them a vintage character. The units, many with bedrooms on the second floor, have been decorated in a mix of country cute and casual contemporary; they have kitchens and Franklin stoves. There’s a garden in back where you can barbecue or play badminton.
