Where else could one find everything from tonics and elixirs to guns and ammo, bikes, corsets, and worm syrup back in the day—long before Wal-Mart, Kmart, and Target ever existed? The Oldest Store pays homage to retail past, an old country store if you will, with costumed staffers pretending to sell you tractor equipment or a goat-powered washing machine. Inside, there are over 100,000 items on display from the original inventory dating back to the early 1900s. As for it being the oldest store, that’s debatable, but it’s pretty interesting nonetheless.
