Alas, the presentation at this museum, which is of course dedicated to the life and works of native son Kafka, is on the dry and serious side. Still, hard-core fans of Kafka's work will enjoy seeing copies of first editions as well as the many personal letters, diary entries, manuscripts, and photographs. The famed author of "The Castle", "The Metamorphosis," and "The Trial" was born in Prague in 1883 and spent most of his life here, toiling away in obscurity (the bulk of his work was published posthumously). A section focused on the influence of Prague on the writer is somewhat illuminating; as well, the museum features a video display  of the city during Kafka's time.
